RF Sealing

RF sealing is used to join or "seal" individual pieces of vinyl or other plastics into one by creating heat. In fact, Your microwave oven operates with the same principle.

The frequency of the RF energy in your Microwave Oven is such that it excites the Water Molecules in the food you want to warm up. As these water molecules vibrate (move) heat is created.

Certain kinds of plastics used in PVC packaging have polar molecules which means that they can be excited by RF energy, just like water molecules are excited by a Microwave Oven's RF energy.

Blackbourn products are produced via RF Heat Sealer because the material is heated far quicker than utilizing a plain Heat Sealer. It takes less time to make a seal, so your production rate goes way up, the finished product cools down more quickly making it safer to handle and it keeps its shape better immediately after the sealing.
